Suspected kidnapper nabbed at Plateau with N1.7 m

A suspected kidnappers were arrested at a checkpoint in the village Ankwa of Sanga Local Government Area of ​​Plateau State by the troops of Operation Safe Heaven (OPSH), was paraded along with money (N1,789,000) recovered from him.

The suspect is said to be members of a gang of eight involved in a series of kidnappings between Nasarawa and Kaduna, riding a motorcycle and had attempted to bribe the soldiers during a stop-and-search denied.

Operation commander, Major General Augustine Agundu further told the press that the money recovered from the suspects is his own part he and his ransom gang members get from their victims.

The suspect identified himself as Jafaru Shuaibu, claimed the money belonged to him but he got it through magical means.
